The Scandinavian company has a large foot print already in the north European countries of Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark. The price tag on the deal is what really draws attention, clocking in at 36 million British Pounds. The sense behind this amount is clearer once we consider that the spending per capita at online casino sites and land based venues as well in the Scandinavian countries is the highest in Europe. And still, such an investment shows that the industry believes there is room for growth in the market. The purchase is motivated largely by the elimination of the American market from the online casino sites’ potential for income, and is contemporary with another move by the same British company to start in an alliance with a Spanish slot machine firm and other Italian adventures as well. | |
